Nautilus Solar, LLC and United Renewable Energy Celebrate the Ribbon Cutting of New Community Solar Farm in Kane County, IL
Atlanta, Georgia, November 3, 2025 – United Renewable Energy® (URE®) is proud to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of our latest project in Kane County, IL. This 26-acre community solar farm will bring 5 megawatts of energy to the community. Initially developed by Renewable Properties LLC, and purchased by Nautilus Solar, LLC, the long-term owner and operator, this project is the result of the collaboration and dedication of several partners dedicated to providing grid resilience and economic development in the region.
The project will provide affordable power to approximately 600 low-income households, as well as a local park district and a commercial business, helping to reduce energy costs and support sustainability goals.
Backed by the Illinois Shines program, this project reflects our continued commitment to expanding access to clean energy and building a more equitable energy future.
