Project Manager

URE is currently hiring an experienced and talented Project Manager to successfully execute across multiple contracted projects and coordinate new projects under development. Applicants should have experience in solar construction and prior experience managing small teams. The ideal candidate should have the ability to keep disciplined and organized schedules while meeting deadlines and must be able to ensure compliance with customer contracts – including initiating purchase orders, tracking deliverables, managing change orders, and schedule tracking. Accountability is vital to this role as is maintaining project budgets. Customer and supplier communications are critical.

Essential Responsibilities:

● Overall responsibility for project success in accordance with the Prime Contract.
● Contract negotiation and execution with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
● Create and maintain project schedule and budget. Anticipate and prepare accordingly for critical path items.
● Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.
● Maintain accurate records and logs of activity including daily completion metrics across all trades, weekly and monthly reports.
● Communicate effectively with both internal team members and external customers. Serve as primary point of contact with client project team.
● Manage project field team including resource scheduling for full time site coverage, task prioritization, and task assignments with adequate supervision.
● Research, prepare and acquire required permits with relevant Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
● Perform routine inspection of the construction site to ensure all activities are aligned with design plans and AHJ requirements.
● Provide safety oversight in accordance with the company Environmental, Health and Safety Plan.

Qualifications:

● Experience requirements include a minimum of 5 years in comparable construction management capacity. Direct solar experience preferred, but comparable power or construction project experience will be considered.
● Contract management proficiency.
● Proven team leadership skills including staff and subcontractor management.
● Self-starter, highly organized and resourceful.
● Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and equipment specifications.
● Experience in managing budget, schedule requirements, and reporting capabilities including software proficiency.
● Experience working with subcontractors and equipment suppliers, including contract management.
● Physical ability and willingness to work in outside conditions with flexibility to travel.
● High proficiency in MS Office suite, project management and CPM schedule software.
● Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle history, and criminal background check.
● OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 30 certification within last 4 years.
● Must have a valid Driver’s License and the ability to pass a MVR and background screening.

Location:

● Remote position from a home office with some travel required.
● Travel will be required to active construction projects and company offices in GA and NC.
● Preference is given to candidates in the Southeast, Mid Atlantic or Northeast regions. Must be willing to work during EST business hours.
